Q'uo treats money as a neutral blessing — a form of supply meant to meet real needs like food, clothing, and shelter — and locates the spiritual danger not in money itself but in the love of it. The teaching turns on flow: money handled as circulating energy, moving between people as an older barter economy let many kinds of labor be honored, is given its right value, while greed that hoards and stockpiles it for its own sake makes it toxic and stops the flow.

Work is reframed alongside this. Q'uo gently challenges the assumption that one's real work is only what earns a paycheck, and that unpaid or spiritual activity is mere rehearsal until "real" work begins. One's true work is the loving service offered in each moment, whatever its economic form; much of the difficulty people feel in recognizing their calling comes from this distorted equation of worth with wages.

For the seeker anxious about money or career, the counsel is to loosen the grip of acquisitiveness, to let what one has move and serve rather than merely accumulate, and to bring a loving heart to whatever work is at hand. Money is a tool and a catalyst, not a master; held lightly and kept flowing, it can be part of a life of service rather than an idol that pulls the heart off center.
